Blood Sugar and Why You Can’t Lose Weight
Insulin Resistance Comments (0)
Watch this excellent video on blood sugar, and the hormone insulin. I decided to post this video called Blood Sugar and Why You Can’t Lose Weight in relation to my previous article on insulin the fat storing hormone whereby I spoke about my inability to lose weight on a diet which totally eliminates carbohydrates and sugar – the South Beach diet. This video comes from the Merritt Wellness Center. The doctor on the video speaks about the problems of insulin which is out of balance and causes sugar cravings, carb cravings, reactive hypoglycemia and the almost impossibility of losing weight no matter what healthy hormone diet you are following.
Reactive hypoglycemia drives the blood sugar to low. You need a base line for blood sugar for good glucose levels to keep your brain functioning. If your glucose levels are out of balance you will experience the typical symptoms of problems of thinking, irritability, memory problems and of course, menopause weight gain – all caused by too much insulin in the blood. Too much insulin in the blood causes you to gain weight and you cannot fat to use and burn as fuel. Insulin, constantly rising and falling will cause insulin resistance and this is why you and I cannot lose the weight, no matter how strict our diet is. What you end up with is hypoglycemia and the adrenals becoming overworked which causes more tiredness and fatigue which, in turn, causes you to wake up in the middle of the night. Adrenal fatigue is becoming rampant in our society. Watch this video for more information on hormones and diet and discover how blood sugar levels can stop you from losing weight.
